Prontaprint owner celebrates five years of Service and £100k investment

Business entrepreneur and owner of Prontaprint Watford, Aarif Merali is celebrating five years of service this month.

Since acquiring the franchise in 2005, Aarif has grown the business significantly, investing £100k into new equipment including two new digital presses, a large format printer and a litho press.

The introduction of two key services has also contributed to Prontaprint Watford’s unique standing within the British print trade.

The implementation of Prontaprint’s bespoke web to print service, ‘Gateway’, has provided clients with 24-hour access to an online gateway where they can personalise pre-approved artwork templates, request quotes, place print orders and pay by credit card or invoice.

In addition, an innovative new variable data printing capability has enabled the centre to provide its customers with wholly customised direct marketing services, resulting in clients’ response rates rising from an average 1 per cent to between three and five per cent.

The arrival of these services together with the appointment of two new designers specialising in corporate brand design, have seen the centre secure long standing relationships with high profile clients such as TopGolf sports entertainment facilities, The Harlequin shopping centre and The Grove luxury hotel, golf and spa resort.

Aarif cites strong links with the business community and staying abreast of changes in print and design technology as the secrets to the success of the centre. This success can also be attributed to the eight loyal and dedicated members of his team - a team which Aarif is looking to further expand in 2010.
