FSB's snow advice for business

The FSB (Federation of Small Businesses) has compiled a ticklist for small firms to use when they are affected by external forces such as severe weather and heavy snowfall.

The FSB also campaigned in early 2010 for a civil contingencies plan to be put in place to stop the country from grinding to a halt when circumstances are difficult, including mandatory salt level recommendations for local authorities, and further increases its own private salt levels to supplement shortfalls where necessary.

The list includes identifying risks to business continuity, planning ways to deal with risks and reviewing your business plan in the light of assessed risks.
