Some of you might recall that three weeks ago I wrote about how Facebook had banned an Ad for this column due to the lips in this logo violating their adult content policy?  Well since then they’ve agreed it was a mistake and said that I could run the Ad again. I responded that the Ad was placed for a specific week & was no longer relevant. Cue Moose Number One……..

                            Watford Observer:

A few days ago they sent a statement charging me for that Ad.  After contacting them and asking them to read my “No longer relevant” email & to refund my money, they replied suggesting  I re-run the Ad. AAAAAAHHHHH!  Going back and forth like a game of ping pong & getting nowhere fast, I decided to open a PayPal dispute…..

Cue Moose number two.  Filling out the paypal dispute form, you get a section that has approx 1700 characters allowing you to  state what the problem is. I carefully typed away ensuring to put dates of  emails and conversations had, and then hit the Submit button. A message came up from PayPal  “You have been away from your computer for some time”

                              Watford Observer:

“NO I haven’t, I’ve been sat here typing out a form on YOUR site” I thought to myself  before reading the rest of the message that said:

“ Due to security and to safe guard your account you have been timed out, all data has been lost, so please log out, log back in and start the activity again”  AAAAAAAHHHHHH!

Hence to say  I didn’t, & haven’t as yet purely to hold onto some sanity …what’s left.

So no longer using Facebook to market my wares , someone recommended an outfit that says its been running for fifteen years called Capacity Productions…. Cue Moose number three. They certainly talk the talk  with blurb such as  “We are the best marketing and promotions company! We promote you hard resulting in real people checking you out”  Yup! All sounded good to me, so I thought I’d give them a go and credit where credits due I did get  many new followers………all from the far east with profiles in Arabic,

I fired off an email asking how on earth they thought sending 1000 Arabic followers to a Facebook site promoting a Column in a local English newspaper was going to be beneficial for either parties?  Unsurprisingly there was no response.

                               Watford Observer:

I have come to the conclusion that Marketing is really not my forte. However I am equipt to explain the difference between Marketing and Distribution which many individuals seem to get mixed up. So if you’re not sure and  you’re a musician, author, or you have some other craft  you need to market and distribute then you might want to check out my short and easy  explanation on Linkdin? https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/marketing-moose-mama-chill

Moving from Moose (Mouse) to Ice-cream……oh come on, it’s not that bad?  I have found a super Uber gadget this week called the Scoop THAT! Ice cream scooper, as technology goes its so Uber cool I even purchased one myself this week in slick black, it

takes a bit of getting used to, and its recommended you hold the handle for 20 secs before going in for a scoop, but I have to say I love it. You can view the video here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6B7UQIwFDX0 I managed to find  a UK seller on Amazon only has Black ones left, but ordered one day & it came the next, meaning no more spraining my wrist trying to get a scoop from the tub Woo Hoo! http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00KGWNOQE?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

                        Watford Observer:

In M.E news Lets Do It For ME team member Susan Mcgregor has  set up  an Auction page on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/688151627951393/ as she says

“To raise vital funds for research into a very under funded cause, invest in ME, please take a look at their website”  http://www.investinme.org/ details on how to bid are on the auction page, This one ends on Saturday 4th July 7pm. Last time I looked there was a four leaf clover that seemed to be very popular on the bidding stakes, but there’s still plenty of time to pop over and take a look for yourselves and show support by joining the group, even if there’s nothing that catches your eye this time there might be something next time. Also If you have an item or service that you could donate for forthcoming auctions then just get in touch with Susan at susan.mcgregor7@gmail.com it would be mightily  appreciated.

In local news as part of Watford Live Festival 2015  Local Entertainment company Papermouth https://www.facebook.com/Papermouth/timeline have been asked back and boy have they pulled out all the stops to put on another monster music event this Sunday 5th July   I don’t think Watford High street has ever seen so much local talent in one hit, for any music fans this really is a must see, with acts such as Tom Craven & The Chapter, Minnie Birch, Sophie Ray, April Blue, My Little Empire and the list goes on with solo artists and bands galore. I spoke to Tom who said “ The main stage is from 12-8, that’s  8 monolithic hours of live musical goodness, with the best local bands and acoustic acts across two stages, to satisfy your rock, pop, country, blues and folk cravings”

So after your Sunday morning lie in, I recommend you get dressed and head into town to be a part of  what’s surely going to be  an awesome music experience.
