Well, before you get comfy, along with your usual cuppa and biccies I’d bring  the headache pills because you could quite possibly end up banging your head on your computer desk or palm slapping your face in disbelief at this weeks ramblings  quite frankly the worlds gone barking mad,or maybe its me? You decide……..

                        Watford Observer:

So first up, some of you may remember from a previous Column how Facebook banned my Ad because the lips in this here logo were rated as adult & overly explicit? Well  it seems Twitter have jumped on the wagon to stupidsville , as  last week  to help raise awareness of illness Myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) I thought I would put a paid  Ad on Twitter in the hope of encouraging more people to take up the  Chilli ME Challenge themselves … …Simple.

Er, not so. Twitter sent me an email to say  they’ve decided I’m not allowed to place any Ads because my Twitter name  @RunninOnEmpty  is inappropriate ….huh? is there some naughty connotation I’m too Jurassic to know about?  Have people been stumbling onto  my Twitter page only to gasp and reel back in shock at being exposed to such vulgarity?  @RunninOnEmpty? ....Someone call 999.

                                 Watford Observer:

Pinterest was no better, their youtube to pinterest upload button wasn’t working so I couldn’t post my chilli ME challenge video there, but when I emailed to tell them they just kept replying with. “ If you’re happy with the response you don’t need to do anything else.” Which had me screaming at the screen  “WHAT RESPONSE?”  at this point I needed to go for a lie down.

In ME news, and staying on the chilli ME challenge  there are a handful of people that have been working their poorly socks off to try and get it trending ,  and I have to say its quite demoralising when you see   that even Ed sheerans botty burp has managed to trend and they can’t.  Seriously ?  Yes, talking on a radio show Ed Sheeran shared how  he’d trumped on stage and followed through and had to stand for the rest of the performance …….Wait while I go bang my head again

          Watford Observer:

But I  was touched this week when two young teens  Muhammed Abu Anas AKA MAA  &  Fahim AKA Allplayah stepped up to the plate.  Muhammed had seen the challenge on Twitter and decided he wanted to help out  and  so he filmed  himself taking the Chilli ME challenge, he then nominated his friends and although he hates chilli Fahim bravely  came on board too, both giving out the links to the charity and all the details.  You can watch Muhammeds efforts here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvAXQBOB_cI&feature=youtu.be  Young people are often plagued by bad press and that’s what we the readers are fed, but there’s plenty of good ones out there and I for one am happy to applaud them, so big thanks to them both and hopefully it will encourage more young people  either individual or in groups to take up the challenge. You can also watch Mother & Daughter combo Jaqi & Rebecca take on the challenge too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmjetIGz51Q&feature=youtu.be

Last but not least, in local news, I received a Cd in the post by very talented folkstress Minnie Birch it's a live CD featuring some tracks from her single launch at Bloomsbury Central Baptist church. Including some vocals by Sam Neale and a cover photo by Peter Males. And was sent out to all those who posted up a picture of her Album Floundering on social media, it was a nice touch but  usual of Minnies generosity, You can found out all about her on her website: http://www.minniebirch.co.uk/

Well you’ve all been asking, & I’ve listened, next week I will be posting up more video escapades from Pudding gardens featuring Dopey the fox and Tigger the cub, so hope you’ll join me.
