Today I am wearing my big girl ranty pants, so take cover. I can only assume the Asda advert where they tap their bottom is referring to their standard of customer care if my mothers visits are anything to go by… & Yes I do let her out from under the floorboards,  well who else is going to do the weekly shop?.....…

So  like many people she likes to go early morning and get back before the chaos of the day begins, & she’s usually down at the St albans road branch in Watford  for 7am and there’s usually no tills open and she has to go human hunting up and down the aisles to find someone to serve her…. .…maybe that humungous line of tills is some arty Tracey Emin installation only to be viewed?

              Watford Observer:

This week she was told they have a new Tills manager that won’t allow them to be used until 8.30, so in future if you shop before then you have to sort the items & payment yourself via D.I.Y.

Now, My mother’s a pensioner and like a lot of people she doesn’t like or expect to have to do this, there were also two guys with trolleys piled up looking for someone to serve them and were swearing at hearing they’d have to D.I.Y it.

               Watford Observer:

What about people with learning disabilities & physical disabilities? Surely if this is going to be an Asda policy they need to make it public so that those who want to be served by staff won’t go there before 8.30?…or in my case not go at all. I absolutely loathe this lazy way of doing business, but if you try complaining to Asda you’re often met with the same “Don’t-give-jack” response……if you get any response at all,  In which case I vote with my feet …while tapping my bottom of course. So have you ever gone shopping somewhere only to be met with a stupid, or downright bizarre policy?

There’s nothing bizarre about this weeks gadget/gizmo and I’m absolutely loving this  neat little Steepletone 1960'S Vinyl portable Record Player. It plays 33’s and 45’s and has a 20 watt output speaker and optional sub-woofer output. Its also in a sale at £79.99 and available from:

In M.E news, some weeks ago while on Twitter, a promoted advert scrolled past for a barbeque restaurant in Illnois that were looking for a charity to support. I thought it was a long shot but tweeted back saying that I’d choose Invest In ME. The ME community were all tweeting it out , and then I forgot about it, but the good news is we’re now shortlisted. If you’re on Facebook, you just have to vote for us and share it. The charity with the most votes will win, so if you fancy supporting Invest In ME  It would be mightily appreciated.  https://www.facebook.com/unclebubs

Well you all seemed to like the short video I posted up a fortnight ago that I’d taken of Bubba the fox cub and Guinness the badger, so as promised here’s more from Pudding Gardens featuring Mama Dopey and Fox Cub Bubba, enjoy.

In local news, if Musics your thing then there’s a treat in store. Watfords very own Vibe 107.6 fm will be taking Sunday Nights Raw Vibes show lnto Saturdays  high street , its going to be outside Yates at the top of the town with local bands and artists performing from 1-6pm, so head on down, fill your musical boots & show your support.

I have to give a shout out of thanks to reader ahimsa2 who seeing you struggle with a stupidly tiny comments box has pointed out something I didn’t even know, that if you put your mouse in the corner of the box and drag it, it opens up big. Unfortunately you probably still won’t be able to read the comment once posted as they remain small, but hey, it’s still good to know.
