No, it can’t be Friday already? …it is?  Oh okay, grab ya cuppa, park your derrière and join me for this weeks mash up. So, I gave up buying mainstream papers & watching the news some years ago, Surely being fed heaps of bad news on a daily isn’t good for our health ? It can leave you feeling pretty rubbish or as they used to say in TV Hit Dads Army “We’re Dooooooomed “………..                   Watford Observer:

With the digital age we have the news at our fingertips if we choose, & we have more control of filtering what we want to see and read, and scroll passed what we don’t. What we’re fed is often toxic to our mental health just as too much saturated fat is bad for our arteries & sadly it’s not just adults being affected, in recent years there’s been more & more children having counselling sessions due to anxiety caused by the fear of images they’ve seen in the news and also fear of terrorism amongst other things.

Negativity has a real physical impact on our health, and sometimes we just get used to it being around us and accept it as part of our day?  Maybe it’s time for us to be more aware of where we’re getting our daily nourishment?

You’ll be pleased to know there’s a  couple of online newspapers that operate from a different angle  by delivering the news but in a more balanced & constructive way and encouraging  other journalists to do the same and here’s some of them you might want to check out and encourage your children to view?

I was quite excited by the thought of a huge inflatable Twister orgy in the garden until I saw it was a whopping $2000…….. how much?  Oh well if you want to check it out it’s from: http://www.hammacher.com/Product/11857?source=cj&PID=5776287&cm_mmc=CJ-_-2069771-_-5776287-_-Hammacher+Product+Catalog&utm_source=Affiliate&utm_medium=CPA&utm_campaign=CJ              Watford Observer:

In light of whats happened with the hoverboard I don’t know how the Walk Car is going to fare but being hailed as a car in a bag it certainly looks cool. Light enough to drop into a small tote bag this aluminium board approx the size of a laptop is sturdier than it looks.  Battery life is just over 7 hrs meaning you can carry transport around with you all day, get tired? Just whip it out and off you go. The shape of it makes it good enough for all ages. Manufactured by Cocoa Motors the original pre order offer back in October was pulled, due so they say to being swamped by orders and needing to improve the product, but another date is promised shortly, In the meantime you can catch a video of the Walk Car here:

You know I can’t leave out the pets?  And this week it’s for wabbits in the form of a carrot tree and treat holder, you attach it to the cage  at a height so that the wabbit has to stand and reach, meaning it gets a nice stretch.   Watford Observer:

It can pull the carrots out to play with, gnaw etc and then theres a small section in the middle to put some treats in.   Watford Observer:

Available from Barks & Bunnies for just  £3.39 , the toy and not the Rabbit, the rabbit is Rory and stars courtesy of my niece Vicky who said he has been a very naughty Diva bunny since he heard he was going to be in the Watford Observer, Ah, nothing like a Rabbit with a Rock N Roll Attitude.   http://www.barksandbunnies.co.uk/collections/toys-play/products/carrot-toy-n-treat-holder

In M.E news my  Twitter account is  forever bombarded with the good intentioned no doubt, parading their “ME cures” nutritional supplements, pills and potions and those who’ve cured themselves and are willing to share their secret with me……….If I  just purchase their book for $49.99,  and I’ll get loads of other free stuff too apparently, like a pair of neon pink belly button tweezers to remove fluff in those hard to reach places and a heap of other things that would normally set me back $149 …Oh wow! I’m saving $100 , I’ll take two.

M.E isn’t a one glove fits all illness and there are no cures as yet, let alone a one cure cures all cure ( try saying that after a couple of shandies). Although I’m sure some would find it debateable I’d like to think I’m an open minded, but rational level headed woman, who after 25yrs, would have found out about a  cure if there was one? We’re still in the early stages of research http://www.ukrituximabtrial.org/IIMEUKRT%20Donate.htm and I’m hopeful good news isn’t too far away, but as soon as it is Charity Invest In ME will be shouting it from the rooftop, as will I. Until then I’ll just have to keep sighing at the deluded.

Watford Observer:

Onto local news, & with Christmas looming not everyone is going to have a roof over their head let alone basic food. Becoming homeless can happen so quickly and easily to any of us, and if you’re someone with the “Yeah, but that won’t ever happen to me” mind-set? Then think again. I’ve known a fair few with that confidence that have gone on to lose everything within a few short weeks.

That’s why Watfords New Hope Charity http://www.newhope.org.uk/  is close to my heart, so if you fancy spreading a little positivity and hope  by giving a  gift that will make a difference to a homeless person this Christmas? Then look no further. I never ask people to do what I haven’t done myself, so, I’ve already been over to the charities website and purchased the bed for the night package at £23. 29 .        Watford Observer:

It’s a wonderful idea, and seeing as I’m blessed and fortunate to have both roof and food I want to pass that blessing on to someone else & I hope you’ll consider doing the same? There’s various gifts to choose from including   “The Essentials” for as little as £4.98 . Check out the store and the charities website here: http://www.newhope.org.uk/store & make a difference to  someone elses life this Christmas. You can also follow the charity on Twitter: https://twitter.com/NewHopeHQ  & Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NewHopeHQ/?fref=ts

Next Friday will be Christmas day …oh no it’s not……oh yes it is….but I will still be up with the larks & publishing a Column, WHAT! On Christmas day? Yup!  so sometime between tearing open your presents and tucking into the sprouts, don’t forget to come join me.
