Pilot under influence of alcohol
A microlight instructor who died after his plane crashed, injuring a woman from Carpenders Park, had more than the legal limit of alcohol for car driving in his blood.
Jaysukh Madhvani, 54, from Barnet, died as he tried to land at an airstrip at Plaistows Farm, near St Albans, on Wednesday, March 28, 2007.
His passenger and co-pilot Kay Bolton, from Penrose Avenue, was seriously injured.
A report into the incident, by the Air Accident Investigation Branch said there was sufficient alcohol to have "seriously impaired" his judgement.
