Children at Sacred Heart School, Bushey, had a fun-filled week of explosions, spaghetti and marshmallows.
The school hosted a science week, which included a talk and demonstrations from scientist Dr Lea.
The children had a go at conducting a range of experiments and each class was challenged with creating the tallest and most stable tower using only marshmallows and spaghetti.
Headteacher Carlyn Hatch siad: "This was not as easy as it sounded, especially when marshmallows were cut up and became very sticky - much to the children's delight.
"The week has been a great success for all the children. As you walked around the school, you could feel the excitement as children discovered new ideas and concepts."
One pupil said: "I loved science week because I felt very adventurous and I feel like a real scientists now. I had so much fun."
