Young children will get advice on road and personal safety at special workshops this month as part neighbourhood action month.
With the number of cars on the roads still growing, the sessions are designed to encourage children to find safe and environmentally friendly ways to go about their journeys.
As well as road safety, there will be advice on bullying, saying 'no' to strangers and talks from the local fire service.
The interactive sessions will include a speed indicator device which will record how fast the youngsters can run - plus an area where children can direct 'traffic' across child-sized zebra crossings.
Dacorum Borough Council neighbourhood action team and police community support officers will be available to chat to children and their parents about road safety at the sessions which are available to all four to seven year olds, accompanied by parents.
