A missing cat who narrowly avoided death in road accident has been reunited with her owner after her picture was printed in the Watford Free newspaper.
The cat, now known to be called Fizz, was found a whisker away from death in Leggatts Rise on October 11.
After treating her for a head injury, staff at the Park Veterinary Centre set about tracing her owner and eventually contacted the Watford Free for help.
Just hours after her picture was printed her owner came forward.
The centre’s Natasha Reader said: “This is fantastic news. We weren’t sure how approaching the paper would work but before we knew it we had a lady on the phone saying ‘that’s my cat'.”
The cat, belonging to a Mrs Martin, has now been microchipped which means her owners can be easily traced if she goes astray again.
