Elderly residents across south west Hertfordshire have enjoyed a fish and chip dinner thanks to members of the Watford Lions.
At about 7pm on Saturday, more than 60 people turned out in force to enjoy the traditional British supper held at St Lawrence Church in the High Street, Abbots Langley.
The meal was accompanied by the musical talents of Petros brothers Sammy, 14, and Danny, 12, who played a number of hits including Abba and The Beatles, on the piano and drums respectively.
Visitors also took part in a free raffle with prizes of jam and marmalade.
Lord Mark Franklin, Watford Lions representative, said: “It was a marvellous evening that was well attended.
“Everyone really enjoyed themselves, and once again Danny and Sammy [Petros] proved a huge hit following their first performance at the Lions fish and chip dinner in Garston.”
The Watford Lions are able to treat senior elderly residents to the evening having held a number of fundraisers throughout last year, including a champagne bottle raffle.
