Cable theft cuts phone service to 300 homes

About 300 homes have been left without telephones in Sarratt after an attempted cable theft.

Underground wires were cut, affecting services in the area.

Engineers are currently on-site and residents should slowly see services return later today.

BT engineers will also work over the weekend and into next week to get the work completed.

Adam implies that the residents of Sarratt are slow. He probably meant that residents should see services slowly return later today?

Our phone line (and neighbours) was not working from Thursday through til early this morning (Sat). I wonder if connected to this cable theft - we are in Croxley Green?

For the sake of a few quid, and that is all that the theives would get, they cause more misery.

Hopefully the new laws coming into effect will put an end to this type of theft
