UK Power Network road works causing traffic problems in Rickmansworth Road

Planned cable repairs in Rickmansworth Road are causing traffic to queue in both directions.

UK Power Network, carrying out the repairs, has installed temporary traffic lights at the junction with Gade Avenue.

The roadworks, which are expected to take up to a week, are backing up traffic as far as Croxley Green and Watford town centre.

In Whippendell Road, temporary traffic lights have been installed at the junction with Hagden Lane by Hertfordshire County Council while the permanent signals are refurbished.

This would be the road that we recently had a lot of disruption on whilst a beautiful new surface was laid.

Couldn't the numpties at UK Power & HCC have scheduled their work before the resurfacing.

I agree skeptic99, but that would mean these numpties having more than one brain cell between them! And WHY install temporary traffic lights in Whippendell Road at the same time? Could that not have waited a week? I swear it is a conspiracy to drive motorists round the bend!!!
