Families gathered together at Abbots Langley Methodist Church this afternoon, to try their hands at a new form of worship - Messy Church.
Organised by volunteers from St Lawrence Parish Church and Abbots Langley Methodist church, the aim of the event was to entice children, parents and carers to have fun, be creative and enjoy a meal together.
Children aged from five to 11 were treated to stories and were able to take part in a variety of arts and crafts activities.
A puppet show depicting a biblical story was also performed and biscuits, drinks and tabletop games were on offer.
Visitors then joined together for a simple celebration meal at Abbots Langley Methodist Church hall, Langley Road, Abbots Langley.
There was no charge for the sessions, but attendees were asked for a donation to cover the cost of the materials and the meal.
