A footballer who died after collapsing during a five-a-side match in Bushey has been named as Malcolm Evans.

Mr Evans, believed to be in his early forties, suffered heart failure during a match at Powerleague in Queens’ School on Monday, February 6.

The coroner for Hertfordshire confirmed no inquest would be held and that the death had been due to natural causes.

I feel very sorry for Mr Evans's family but why did it take 10 days for his name to be released?

This kind of secrecy does not help anybody in the 21st century, nor is there any justification for it as the official record will be released in due course, anyway.
