THE ambulance service is appealing for help from residents in Bushey and Radlett as it continues to search for suitable fast response posts.
Currently paramedics have to park in laybys as temporary response locations, but have to return to bases at Watford and Borehamwood for refreshment breaks.
Now the service is looking for self-contained units with toilet facilities and parking to help them respond to 999 calls in the area even faster.
Gary Sanderson, from the East of England Ambulance NHS Trust, said: "Despite considerable efforts, the ambulance service have been unable to acquire suitable rented accommodation.
"We are now appealing to property owners in the two areas for help. We need a self -contained unit with toilet facilities and an area of hard standing for an estate car."
He added that they are looking for a unit in Bushey within one mile of Bushey Arches, and a unit in Radlett that is within half a mile of the High Street and that they are willing to pay rent for the accommodation.
If you can help, please telephone the duty station manager at Watford Ambulance Station on 01923 460653.
