Former Bushey schoolgirl Kara-Louise Horne entered the Big Brother house on Friday night as one of five new "halfway housemates".

The ex-St Margaret's School pupil, from Harrow, is currently living in the "halfway house" - a small compound attached to the main house.

The 22-year-old student is now competing with her four fellow halfway housemates, including a stripper, a pagan witch and a glamour model, to become a permanent housemate.

All five had a trial period in the main house over the weekend and two will be chosen by existing housemates during a live show tonight to join them in the house.

Kara-Louise is single and describes herself as an "extremely gorgeous and exceedingly bright young girl". She says she looks like Mariah Carey and is hoping to find love in the Big Brother house.

She says she is a good balance between beauty and brains, and that her dream job is to be a journalist. She says she would also like to travel.

Kara-Louise describes herself as "giggly" and is an obsessive cleaner who hates mess and admits she will probably take control of the cooking in the house.

She hates "common people, self-centered morons, reading, computer games".

Kara-Louise follows Watford accounts manager, Nicky Maxwell, who was evicted from the reality show two weeks ago.
