Officers are appealing for witnesses after a teenage woman had her handbag snatched while she walked along a West Watford street on Saturday night.
The 18-year-old woman from Watford was walking along Whippendell Road between the town centre and Park Road, shortly after 8.30pm on Saturday, when a stranger tried to grab her bag.
She struggled with the man, before he managed to snatch it and run off towards the town centre. The woman was not injured in the incident.
The man is described as black, in his early to mid twenties, with cropped black hair. He is clean shaven and around 5ft 5in in height. He was wearing blue jeans, a black jacket and dark coloured trainers.
