A 46-year-old motorist with no previous convictions hit a parked car and a house while three times over the legal limit.
Karen Govett, of Church Lane, Sarratt, was banned from driving for 28 months at Hemel Hempstead Magistrates Court today.
The court heard that Govett was involved in the incident in Sarratt on March 7 this year.
Govett had previously pleaded guilty to drink driving and careless driving and sentencing had been adjourned until today for reports.
The court heard in mitigation that Govett, who had never been in trouble with the police before, was full of remorse and had sent a letter of apology to the homeowners, along with a card and flowers.
Govett also took responsibility straight away and was fully aware she put herself and other people in danger - something she has to live with and something she's learned from.
Govett, who injured herself in the incident, was also hospitalised and required 20 stitches.
Chairman of the Bench, Ian Bradley, said: "This was a serious matter. You were in danger and put others in danger at the same time. The purpose of the sentence is to punish and give you the opportunity to think about your behaviour so that this is the first and only time you find yourself in this position."
Govett was made the subject of two concurrent 12-month community orders, where she will be supervised by probation. She was also ordered to pay £87 prosecution costs.
