Twelve weeks to change their lives

A group of young people have made life-changing steps to better their lives and help the community.

At the beginning of the year, 11 people aged between 16 and 25, embarked on a Prince's Trust team programme in Watford, to develop life-skills and improve their chances of getting a job.

Twelve weeks later they have completed their City and Guilds Certificate and most have chosen to gain further education.

The qualification involved transforming the counselling rooms of Beechen Grove Baptist Church, fundraising, carrying out work placements and abseiling on a residential trip in Sheffield.

To join the next team, which starts on May 27 at Centrepoint Community Centre in Watford, telephone teamleaders Caroline or Lesley on 07977927193 or 01923 236 592.
