A FUNFAIR and motorcycle rally are among the attractions hitting The Green in Croxley Green on Saturday, September 18.

Parish council employee Carl Batson has organised the event in aid of The Rainbow Trust charity, which helps terminally ill children.

He said: "I feel very fortunate in this life and feel we all, as human beings, are obligated to give something back in some way.

"So I figure the best way for me is by staging a fun event for the community I live and work in whilst raising money to help people who are less fortunate than myself."

Father-of-three Mr Batson learned about the Rainbow Trust through an interview with patron, George Michael.

The rally will be open between 12 noon and 9pm. Admission is by donation.
