This rather awesome mechanical marvel is just the vehicle to negotiate the twists and turns of Watford’s perilous one-way system.
In fact, motorists driving through the town centre on Wednesday afternoon could not believe their eyes when they saw this armoured sports car – named The Monster – heading their way.
The car and its driver, the leather-clad Frankenstein, are featured in a new film called Death Race 2000, showing at the Carlton, this week and next.
The movie is about a futuristic car contest in which drivers score points for the pedestrians they knock down.
