M1 motorway crash

A PEOPLE carrier careered into the central reservation on the M1 motorway this morning causing traffic chaos.
A Citreon Xsara ploughed into the central reservation knocking a lamp post onto the southbound carriageway between Junction 4 (Harrow) and Junction 5 (A41, Watford) shortly after 7.30am.
One man has been taken to Watford General hospital with head injuries.
Police and fire crews are still at the scene and two lanes remain closed in both directions.
