M25 pile-up

A MULTI-VEHICLE smash on the M25 near Rickmansworth yesterday afternoon resulted in two people being rushed to hospital.

The casualties were taken by paramedics to Watford General Hospital shortly after three cars collided on the southbound carriageway just past Junction 17 (Rickmansworth)at around 2.30pm.

Fire crews from Watford and Rickmansworth dashed to the scene after reports that people were trapped.

But on arrival passengers were safely out of the vehicles.

One person was also treated at the scene for minor injuries.
