YOUR correspondent Mick Bathe no doubt thinks he is being very witty by making smart-Alec remarks about the driving skills of the school-run mums.
These women have busy lives and are just as entitled to use the road as anyone else.
However, the contents of his letter make it quite obvious he is using these hapless women as a smokescreen to enable him to boast about what a clever little chap he is by being able to drive such an array of vehicle types.
From what he tells us, I get the impression the versatile Mr Bathe won Second World War single-handed.
Perhaps he is dropping hints to Tony Blair his services will be available, now the present troubles have escalated into a full-scale shooting match.
If he really can't cope with the cut and thrust of everyday driving then there is obviously something seriously lacking in his driving skills.
He should consider either investing in driving lessons or else handing his licence in as he is a potential danger to other road users as well as himself.
Haven't we all met a Mick Bathe at some time in our lives?
Sad, very sad!
