Local school children were forced to risk their lives on the dual carriageway yesterday, when their safe path home was completely flooded. The bridge led down to the tarmac path, which in turn led them into what had basically become a pond. They first had to walk along the hard shoulder, then when that disappeared they had the tough choice of a slippery mud bank down into the flood or walking along the dual carriageway itself. Sadly they chose the latter.
