Broadway is coming to Watersmeet this November 19-22, as The Producers roll into town.

To celebrate their 70th year, Rickmansworth Players are staging Mel Brooks’ hilarious comedy-musical “The Producers”.

An award-winning smash hit both on Broadway and in the West End, the show evokes the “Golden Age” of Musical Theatre but with a cheeky Mel Brooks twist!

Taking centre stage in the starring role of Max Bialystock is Watford Resident Steve Brown.

Although stepping out for the first time with Rickmansworth Players he is no novice, a former NODA nominee, Steve will be taking to the Watersmeet stage for the 5th time this November.

Marking exactly 20 years of performing with amateur dramatics, this was the perfect play for his Ricky Players debut.

He said: “My favourite thing about this production is performing the brilliant material of Mel Brooks, having been a lifelong fan of his work, with a team of people who are all as enthusiastic about it as I am”.
