Plans to build four new houses in a secluded corner of Chorleywood will be debated at a public inquiry beginning tomorrow.
Developers planning to build two pairs of semi-detached family homes in Homefield Road, Chorleywood, saw their application refused in June 2008.
Three Rivers District Council ruled the application would result in over development, would damage the surrounding conservation area and increase traffic to unacceptable levels.
The project’s backers, however, disagreed with this ruling and launched an appeal to the government’s Planning Inspectorate in January this year.
The matter will now be decided at public inquiry tomorrow at the council’s Rickmansworth offices.
Members of the public are welcome at the inquiry, which will begin at 10am.
