p> Diners will return to the banks of the Aquadrome’s Bury Lake on Saturday when the new Café in the Park opens for business.
The old café, owned by husband and wife team Ian and Carly Trisk Grove, was demolished last summer to make way for a new leisure complex.
Part funded by Three Rivers District Council, the new café is part of an £800,000 development which includes new toilets, changing facilities, a caretaker’s flat.
Mrs Trisk-Grove said: “This is a new dawn for The Cafe in the Park and as we see it, it is part of a legacy that this community is leaving to the next generation."
The new look facility will be unveiled to the public at 6.30pm on tomorrow evening and will be open for business from 9.30am on Saturday.
