More than 1,000 visitors young and old sampled the sights and sounds of the annual Holy Cross Church Flower Festival over a sun-soaked weekend.
The three day event, which raised funds for the upkeep of the village’s 12th Century church, featured dozens of colourful floral exhibits, together with a range of food and entertainment stalls.
Co-organiser Marilyn Butler described the event as a quintessentially English village show, bringing together old and young, expert gardeners and keen amateurs.
She said: “The event was a wonderful success. We had fantastic weather over the three days and definitely more than 1,000 visitors over that time.
“The festival remains a very popular event in the village. At least 50 people volunteer to make it happen so it’s a real team effort.”
The festival finished on Monday.
