Where does all the traffic come from? Is it me or does it increase when warm weather comes along? As soon as the sun comes out, the roads swell and everything either comes to a standstill or moves at a snails pace.
Today the heat continued and increased reaching perhaps as much as thirty degrees centigrade. On arrival at Watford Junction Station, after a long day at work and an incredibly hot and sweaty journey on the sweltering bus, I was greeted by chaos surrounding Watford Junction. The roads were swollen with traffic that was moving at a snails pace.
Not only that, but in the middle lane at the bus and parking area a double decker bus had driven over the middle concrete strip and had become stuck on what perhaps could have been a bollard.
Smooth!
I stood there and watched the madness whilst waiting for someone to pick me up. There was a delay on that part too because on the route to Watford Junction from Rickmansworth direction there was heavy traffic. And yet on the journey back the tail back queue’s had disappeared. Shortly before my lift arrived slowly but surely the roads became unclogged. It is almost like a slightly shorter rush hour. Perhaps it was because the sun was shining and people were trying to get home or just get out of work and they all happened to leave at the same time. They tried to get away and only added to the problem whilst sitting in their hot and stuff cars under the days warmth and the beating sun.
On another note, I stepped off the bus keen to buy an ice cream as it was the perfect situation for it and I couldn’t find anywhere nearby. Maybe I didn’t look close enough or maybe there aren’t any. For days where there is hot weather like this there should be someone at or close by Watford Junction selling ice creams for if they did they could surely make some money. Whether it is passengers getting off the trains, off the buses, or people involved in the vehicular traffic, on a hot day I surely cannot have been the only person with an urge for a choc ice.
If anyone does they should get in quick. We all know this weather won’t last either.
That is all for now.
Thank you for ready and ciao for now!
