Money raised on Saturday will enable a local school to buy changing rooms for a swimming pool which was built over a year ago.
Nascot Wood Primary School, Nascot Wood Road, Watford, raised over £400 at their Nascot Fair, which was opened by Miss Watford, Sue Ryan, and her deputy, Diane Kressman.
The afternoon’s entertainment included a display by a local dancing school, a form of Japanese self-defence called Aikido, canoeing and a lifesaving display by the North Watford Venture Scout Unit. The Thistle Pipe Band were also playing.
The fair is the second to be held at the school.
Last year’s event raised the money for the pool.
“Now we will be able to add our long-awaited changing rooms,” said school secretary Mrs B.A. Cartwright.
