This picture, from back in the days when Hallowe’en had an apostrophe (don’t get me started...) is from Watford Scottish Society’s Hallowe’en party on October 30, 1970, when members tried their skill at apple bobbing (or bobbing the apple, as they called it then). The party was held in the West Herts RFC clubhouse in Park Road, Watford.
