Who remembers the Chef Cornerhouse in The Parade, Watford

An unknown street cafe that appeared in a picture in Nostalgia has been identified.

Susan Henderson, of Courtlands Drive, Watford, wrote: “The cafe in your photograph is the Chef Cornerhouse – now Yate's Wine Bar – near the pond.

“I believe the owners were named Wise. In fact, I have recently seen the lady who ran it, in Watford.”

Do any readers remember visiting this cafe? When was it open?
