My dad joined Fishburns Printing Ink Company in 1947, he passed away in 1977, Mr Fishburn used to visit from America in the 40s and 50s, he would give the workers a tin of Nuts each Christmas. The firm moved from Watford. and Watford lost another great factory.
All the workers had to join the union which was N A T S O P A. And most new employees started there time in the Costic Soda Room.
Hope this brings back a memory or two.
