A reader with happy memories of Town Hall dances in Watford is Brita Blackwell, of Winton Drive, Croxley Green.
Mrs Blackwell wrote: “In answer to your question, I did, in fact, meet my husband at the Watford Town Hall – a Saturday dance.
“The year was 1958 and one year later we were married at All Saints Church in Croxley Green. We celebrated our Golden Wedding in March last year.”
