Norwich resident Audrey Ashby has written to Nostalgia about a school in Watford. She writes: “I enjoy the Nostalgia page in the Watford Observer and wonder if anyone remembers the ‘Old’ Garston School, which is now gone?
“I was a pupil there from 1944 to 1949 and in the late 1940s a Road Safety Club was formed at the school, of which I was a member.
“Mr Judd the headmaster and a Sergeant Foxon organised various safety events and also parties were held at the Watford Town Hall.
“Sadly I have no memorabilia of the club but would be pleased to know if any past pupils recall this school.”
