Reader Maureen Spicer has answered a couple of questions to appear on this page in recent weeks.
Mrs Spicer, of Crossmead, Watford, wrote: “I remember a small hall where I would go with several friends. It was a ‘Young People’s Fellowship’. The young people’s service followed the older people’s service.
“After our service, we were served cream biscuits and lovely coffee, so much better than we had at home. I think the church was run by Americans.
“I met my husband Ron at Watford town hall in 1953. We married in 1955 and are still married today.
“Two of my sons had chopper bikes. They were also in an advert riding their chopper bikes. The advert was made for a new children’s magazine called Look Out.
"The advert was made in a London park with Ed ‘Stewpot’ Stewart, as well as several children all riding chopper bikes in and out of large letters spelling ‘Look Out’.”
