MAYORS from 31 boroughs gathered in Bromley to launch this year's London in Bloom.
The ceremony was held at the Pavilion Leisure Centre, in Kentish Way, to encourage communities to improve their environment through the use of landscaping, planting and cleanliness.
London in Bloom, which has been going for more than 30 years, is part of Britain in Bloom is the country's largest horticultural campaign.
Bromley borough won prizes in five categories last year.
These included first prizes in the London Boroughs' Trophy and the Best Floral Trophy.
Bromley mayor Councillor Carole Hubbard said: "While this is becoming a bit deja vu, having won previously in three out of the last five years, we very much embrace the challenge which increases every year and are, again, confident we will do well."
