CHILDREN in West Wickham learnt about the wonders of Mother Nature, taking part in an array of activities during the school's Green Week.
Pupils at Hawes Down Infant School, The Mead, created a mural using recycled materials, learnt about endangered animals and made treasure boxes to sell in aid of the Wildlife Fund.
As part of the school's quest to become more environmentally aware, the pupils also set about gardening the school's nature area and exploring it for insects.
The school already has the silver award for its environmental work but hopes to earn the Green Flag, which is the top award and will make it an Eco-School.
