TRAFFIC Police have launched an appeal for witnesses to an horrific hit-and-run accident.
A blue Porsche 911 Carrera swerved onto the wrong side of Bromley Road, Beckenham, knocking a wall down and running over a man on the pavement. The driver fled from the scene of the 6.12pm accident towards the junction with Wickham Road. The Porsche was found abandoned an hour later in Westgate Road, near Beckenham Place Park.
As well as breaking his leg in two places, the 50-year-old pedestrian has serious pelvic and spinal injuries, and will remain in hospital for some time.
