BOWLERS have taken Demelza House children's hospice to their hearts after reading about its need to raise £1.6m a year to provide help for sick children and their relatives.
Petts Wood Bowling Club's 120 members got busy organising a charity day, holding raffles and even a boot fair to raise cash for the hospice and managed a whopping £2,000.
Demelza's local organiser, Anjali Walker, visited the club, in Crossway, Petts Wood, to collect the money and thank members personally for their efforts.
