IMPROVEMENTS at a Thamesmead park to create an imaginative new play area are set to be completed in July.
The facelift at Manorway Green, off Hoveton Road, includes a play area for under-12s, improved seating, lighting and footpaths.
Work is currently under way ,thanks to environmental regeneration charity Groundwork, Gallions Housing, Rideway Estate management board and Greenwich Council.
The park is the result of consultation with residents and the nearby Bishop John Robinson Primary School. Groundwork's community projects officer, Alistair Macleod, said: “The play area should be superb. It combines safety with exciting play facilities.”
