Northwood Town celebrated a successful 2012 with their annual dinner at Northwood Golf Club.

The night was also held in honour of Club Treasurer and Life Member, Martin Bird, who celebrated 40 years at the club.

Bird was presented with gifts for his long-standing dedication to the club.

Craig Newman and Scott Walker took the top honours with the first team ‘Player’s Player of the Year’ and ‘Player of the Year’ respectively.

Andy Burt and Neal Furmenger picked up the awards for the second XI with Mitesh Vadgama and Sandip Thakrar for the third XI and Veer Vadgama and Joanthan Benveltzen for the Sunday XI.

Dom Whyley and Neal Furmenger picked up seven wicket trophies, whilst Andy Burt, Adam Hills and Suvin Mekwan collected century trophies.

David Bushnell took the trophy for most wickets in the season - the ninth time in ten years he had done so - whilst Kunal Sanghi scored the most runs for the club.

Three promotions were recognised with the second, third and Sunday XI’s all picking up awards for their success.
