Little Hay Golf Club’s winter league began on Sunday and the early pacesetters are Rolf and Clare Stammeijer.
The duo took the lead after one round by claiming 49 stableford points. They finished ahead of second placed pair Chris Woodcock and John Leahy on 48.
In a three-way tie for third with 46 are Mick and Gary Whelan, Andy Sexton and Chris Dorsett and Hee-Young and Steve Crowhurst.
The Ladies were in action in two November Medal competitions. On Saturday, Tracey Franklin claimed first place with an excellent seven under par score of 66.
Second was Karen Burrows on 70 while the three was rounded off by Hee Young Crowhurst on 73.
The second tournament, held on Monday, was won by Chris Marsden who struck a nine under par 64. Taking the runners-up spot was Elaine Meagher with 68 while third was Alison Sexton with 69.
