Vote for Watford's man-of-the-match against Wolverhampton Wanderers
11:30am Sunday 18th November 2012 in Sport By Anthony Matthews, Group Sports Editor
Several Watford players produced good performances to help their side defeat ten-man Wolves yesterday and it’s that time again when you can have your say about who was the Hornets’ man-of-the-match.
Nathaniel Chalobah and Troy Deeney scored the goals and Fernando Forestieri played a part in both, producing another lively display on his return to the starting XI.
Mark Yeates retained his place in the side after scoring in the 6-1 win at Leeds reward and the midfielder rewarded Gianfranco Zola’s faith in him by getting through some good work in the centre of the park and setting up the Hornets' winner.
Or perhaps your choice might come further back in the team, with Joel Ekstrand arguably the pick of the defenders with a commanding display in the heart of the Hornets defensive trio.
Even if your choice isn’t one of these players, make sure you have your say by voting in the ballot below.

kinda sad seeing sordell and marripia (you know who i mean )not getting match time with their new clubs .seems a waste when both were regulars with watford.defence is still leaky to me and is our achilles heal, however progress will show in defence department we hope soon
Can't see your point about our defence though, there's only Almunia to blame for yesterdays goal against.

Seeing Nordin Wooter on the pitch at half time reminded me the he and Forestieri are very similar players. Tons of talent but not quite the finished product - but capable at some point of putting in a world class display - as Wooter did at QPR over 10 years ago.

It's not as if the clubs they are going to are any good! Bottom of the Prem League getting beat every week!
Sordell to Bolton, Mapps to Reading, Smith to Pompey... All mistakes!
Hopefully this up turn in fortunes will ensure that our home grown gems stay at Watford for a long long time yet!

FF was named MoM yesterday, he came in lounge after match to get his reward and Almunia translated. Luther did the interview and asked him his many MoM he had won to which FF replied (via Almunia translating) three times. Luther said I thought it was two, to which Almunia said to him (like a father to his young son) Training games dont count Fernando !!! Que laughter ... As far as i'm aware Mariappa was in the side after taking a while to get selected but surely no great suprise as he joined late in pre season and reading's defence obviously served them well in gaining promotion last season.Having broken through mariappa had put in decent performances but then got injured and hasn't got over that yet.Sordell totally different situation,he has never been given a chance mainly because Bolton tended to play with only 1 striker. Not sure what system they play now but he would fit into our team ahead of Deeney as he would score far more and has alot more pace.
And hasn't he scored two weeks running?

To have such commitment from a loan player and for WFC to make such a player feel part of the family makes me all warm side. (no jokes) I wanted to go onto the pitch and give him proper man hug. Pudil coming on at the end of the game with his kid and banging Harry's drum really just shows how well we have looked after these guys. The team that are responsible for looking after these new recruits deserve massive acknowledgments and praise as they have contributed to the individuals performance on the pitch. If they are happy of the pitch they will perform on the pitch. My 9year old nephew wants to stay after the game to meet the players and get the signatures.

I see the tweets from Pudil, Anya and also from Angella from Udi. Watford seems to be the place they all want to be as they sense something special is on the horizon.
This is what Zola brings to the table, he's a player magnet.

Show me a player who is more eager to play for this club. Tell me a player who worked harder in tracking back and winning vital tackles. Tell me of a player who put his head in where it hurts more yesterday-at times he was jumping with 6ft5 centre halves and making it difficult for them! There is more to FF's game than a bit of skill. He is still learning the english game and he still needs to add a couple of things to his own game (shooting for one!) yes he could still do better and i have NO doubt that he will! Show me a player who is more excited to celebrate with his fans at the end of a game than FF!! IMO It was a close call for MOM yesterday - Hoban,Ekstrand and Fernando would all have been worthy.

Sordell is not even close to Forestieri in skill or any other aspect. There would be no chance of being in our side now for Sordell.I agree that its a pity Adrian could not stay, he would have blended in nicely in our back 3 or even a wing back.Am a bit suprised he has not been used more at Reading ?
Moody g*t yes, inconsistent and as divulged by Bondy at a Fans Forum the worse trainer at the club - I'm guessing that's why McJock had issues with him.
We will never know if Zola would have got the best out of him, but clearly if that potential can be harnessed he would be a hell of a player IMAO
And I miss the Bolt celebration anyway
