Herts Sunday Senior Cup Round Three

Oxhey Estates progressed to the next round in a tough tie with a 3-2 win over Cassiobury Rangers but Gadeside Rangers crashed out of the competition after going down 5-0 to Nicholas Breakspear OB.

Rangers went behind 28 minutes into the game when Fitzpatrick found the net from close range. The lead was doubled shortly before the break when Adam Hills headed into his own net.

Gadeside improved in the second period but, after Hills missed a penalty, Breakspear punished the miss and James Lawrence, Alex Songalia and Rob Browell completed a resounding win.

Herts Sunday Intermediate Cup Round Three

Thirteen ties involving league sides saw eight victories, four defeats and one abandoned.

Rifle Volunteer produced a devastating display against Victoria at Queens’ School.

Stuart Ross scored a rare goal in the opening period but in the second half the Rifle produced a stunning display.

Mark Lomas netted four times, while younger brother Andy was also on the scoresheet. Hugh Trayte also notched twice to give Rifle a convincing 8-0 victory.

Wellington Arms Reserves and Met Police (Bushey) are also both into the next round.

Wellington completed a superb 6-2 away win against Old Barclavians, with two goals each from Jake Woolhead and Nick Hanyours, while Dave Purne and an own goal completed the victory.

The Met also secured a 6-2 victory over St Margaretsbury United, with a hat-trick from Richard Taylor, two by Hassan Zeizale and one from Steve Pickering.

Oxhey Jets Vets had a fine 5-1 away win against Eight Bells thanks to a hat-trick from Danny Fielding and a Lewis Putman brace.

Hammer Reserves claimed a 5-1 victory over Hemel Inter as a double from Gary Wicks plus strikes from Paul Keegan, Sam Budgen and Chris Blunden put them into the next round.

Langleybury Cricket Club enjoyed a 5-2 win over Shortspace, with a brace by Chris Hayley and one apiece from John O’Rourke, Aaron Whittingham and Chris Eldridge.

AFC Spartians won 3-1 against Red Lion Stanstead Abbotts as Darren Lancaster (2) and Tom Horton both netted.

West Herts are also through after an away win over Sawbo Sovereign by the odd goal in five.

Sam Saleh, Roger Lake and Lawrence Olorunfemi scored the goals for West Herts.

Bushey Bimecc went out though, as they were downed 2-0 by Harpenden Arms Athletic, while Green Dragon lost 5-2 at home against Thames Albion.

Sun Postal Sports lost a tight game against Highgate Redwing 1-0 and Chorleywood Club’s match against Rosemill was abandoned due to an incident with the referee.

WSFL Junior Cup Round Two

Goals from Daryl Gillibrand, Peter Staniford and Lee Bartlett were unable to prevent The Pavillion crashing to an 8-3 defeat at the hands of Shenley Wood.

Gadeside Rangers Reserves defeated Oxhey Estates Reserves 7-5.

James Byron netted a hat-trick, while Joao Ribiero (2), Richard Reid and Rakeim Blazie were also on the scoresheet. Oxhey’s scorers were Jack Wilson and Danny Berger with two each and one from Matty Leonard.

Hertsmere (Sunday) secured a 6-0 win against Sun Postal United, with four goals shared by Lewis McGregor and Jamie Haighs plus one apiece for Gary Haywood and Toki Hoougbesan.

Racing Santandome eased to a 4-1 victory over Oxhey Lions through a Chris Dunn hat-trick and a strike from Keith Johnson. Mark Graham replied.

In a very close game, a Simon Lee double was enough to give Rickmansworth Athletic the points against Railway Arms.

Another close 2-1 away win saw Rickmansworth Rovers beat AFC Oddfellows, with two goals from Sean Cabey over a strike from Connor Flanagan for Oddfellows.

Premier Division

Bushey secured a 4-1 win over Croxley Green Community Centre thanks to a Jamie Brown hat-trick and a Ashley Harewood strike.

Oakview defeated Hammer 3-0, with Lee Armitt, Tim O’Mara and Adam Lowton on target.

St Josephs comfortably saw off FC Crescent 7-0 through Jon Croft (4), Kevin McKenna, Jamie Carter and Ben Hammond.

Division One

Garston Juniors moved closer to Mill End Sports after a 2-1 victory.

Vilson Culaj bagged a brace for Garston, while Jay Smith replied for Sports.

Division Two

Old Fullerians defeated Dome Bar Area by the odd goal in five thanks to a Ben Williams hat-trick against a brace from Angelo Napolitano.

Division Three

Ebury Guild played out an entertaining 3-3 draw aginst Woodlands United.

Mark Mullane, Tommy Kelly and Ashley Leeander scored for Guild but their goals were cancelled out by strikes from Gino de Antonis, Rishi Doshi and Dan Pippen.

Division Four

Leaders Green Dragon Reserves struggled to beat bottom club AFC Bushey Reserves 1-0 thanks to an Anthony Henderson goal.
