Watford striker Chris Iwelumo joins Notts County on loan

Chris Iwelumo has become the latest player to leave Vicarage Road on loan, joining Notts County until the start of next year.

The striker, who has made eight appearances for the Hornets this season, has linked up with Keith Curle's League One promotion-chasers until early January.

Iwelumo joins fellow Watford players including Lee Hodson and Dale Bennett to depart the club on temporary deals this week.

Good move all round, he just isn't good enough to get into our side and he isn't a championship striker as he has a poor goals record!
League one and Notts County with there phisical hoof ball will suit him! Good luck big Chris hope you get a permenant transfer in the New Year!

Thank goodness! Never had the remotest chance of playing in this squad and shouldn't ever have been signed.

Great. Possibly one of the worst players I have ever seen at Watford in 34 years. A donkey and a plank.

Not one of the best players that I have seen in 48 years but I wish him all the best and hope it works out for him.

Surely Trevor Senior is untouchable for that honour remembering that in addition to the £300000 there was a bonus depending on international caps he won with England!

Totally unfit when we got him but he played a big part towards the end of last season. He's also one of the best we've seen at the Vic when Wolves **** all over us..

So definitely not one of the worst!

I agree with bringe, not fit when first brought in, I have seen plenty worse players in a Watford shirt over the years.
Not quite good enough for our current first team.
Good luck to him for the future. COYH

I thought Watford fans gave him a terrible time when he first came to Watford. He was obviously not fit. The Second session for him was the best and I thought with him and TD up fron they looked really good. When ever big Chris came on he alway looked a threat and I think he would have scored a lot of goals for us. Gradually he started to win the fans over with some cracking perforamances and standing ovations when he got subbed. Good luck Chris and I hope you smash the goals in for Notts.

Yep I second that. He did his limited best.

Anyway Jamie Moralee was the worst.

Anyway I'm not going to Blackpool which is a shame because I see 3 points there. The thought of getting in those play-off places before Christmas is something that even hog wee would smile about :-)))

Hmmm. I think he would anticipate heartbreak and failure (he knows nothing).

Anyhoo I wish all Hornets a happy day at the match and by the seaside and up the tower...

At the risk of being accused of being one of your henchmen or vice versa, I agree. He did have nuisance value and always did his best. That's all a man can do

Definitely not the worst ever to appear in a Watford shirt: How's about that Tony Meola the USA goalie with hands made of butter!

Lee Nogan anyone?

At least Nogan actually scored a few goals! Meola played once and scored two own goals I think! Lol he was a bigger jester then Plumley!

Steve Morrow? Mind you I did pee myself when Adams dropped him on his shoulder and he broke it when celebrating Arsenals cup win a few years prior to him playing for us!

Iwelumo looks like Alan Shearer compared to Senior and Moralee. And what about Nathan Ellington, Micky Quinn, Peter Beadle, Kerry Dixon, Michel Ngonge and Devon White? Good luck to Chris Iwelumo.

Ngonge wasn't that bad.. Remember him scoring a bullet header ...
Moralee wins...

DuffmanWFC says...

No doubt Ellington was the biggest flop and financial mistake the club ever made but Kabba was just a pants signing as he was never ever any good before, during and after his spell with us!
Moralee was just a lazy, uninterested player who was happy to pick up a wage whilst trying to bed as many z list glammer models as possible!
I'm just so glad those days are gone for good! Lol
