We have nicknamed him Headlights because he looks like a rabbit caught in them when he gets the ball. He just looks to get rid of it quickly. He can't run with the ball and looks to pass it back send then run. Just can't take a man on. Is it confidence or is he just not good enough? Troy, you battled, got the goal but at times you gave it away to easy. Now, if I believe the rumours, Fernando Foresteri is on his way back to Udinese.

Fair to say they were certainly not impressed with Yeates' performance, he was rather terrible today. Battochio must have been pulling his hair out.

Oh well, Hull are a good side and we are performing well above expectations so it's not all doom and gloom. Have to say that their approach though (diving's one thing but feigning injury and time wasting with 40 mins to go!) was pathetic. I have never seen that from a championship team and I hope to never again. The pansies are meant to be in the Premiership, not from a team full of 6ft plus Championship brutes. That is all.

I agree Yeates was far from great today but for some reason I still want him to do well for us. I know he's frustrating and gives the ball away but: He does hit a great dead ball (forced a good save from free kick), scored a goal that wasn't given today (goalie carried it over), and hit the post, all on a day when he was poor. And given the amount of assists he's always provided I am going against the grain here, but I think it's stupid and way too easy to write him off. Anyway, it seems Zola agrees with me.

I think Holly is right here, other than Hoban and Deeney as usual running his heart out, we were poor to a man. It's easy to highlight players, we all do it. I think at Free kick time it shows we need a captain badly to ensure the right man takes it.
As for Vialli, I can't be bothered. He sought me out for a row not the other way around.
Now I'm off to polish my jack boots.

Thought cassetti tried hard and suited right side centre half but the rest of the imports were poor today (until Abdi came on)

It would certainly be helpful to recruit in January. No too much but certainly a left footed winger/midfielder. I'm sure we all remember the impact that Kacaclinic made last term.

At the moment we can not deliver down the left flank unless Pudil overlaps. His delivery is ok without being devastating, although I rate him overall. Yeates found himself on the left flank for much of yesterday and constantly switched onto his right foot to cross - rarely works !

Agree. Deeney was awesome in comparison to most others. He should get 20 goals this season. Impressive considering he missed the first few games. And Hoban is class.

I agree with everyone who thinks Chalobah looked jaded. V poor towards the end. But talented for sure. I like Cassetti and my brother Ekstrand.

Also Almunia is good at shouting and initiating a break or a forage forward. I like him and on the whole he is solid.

This has been confirmed as a rumour on twitter.he was injured and was sat with other squad members. See Holly's tweet to me last night, in which Fessi was included in.

Got to agree with that, Yeates has obviously been given instruction to back Himself. We dont mind when it works! Remember Luther, he scored so many goals for us but he missed some sitters. I think he's improved, no one played well yesterday,.
I don't think it's fair to have this Brit v European comparison when it breaks down, it was a foreigners effort that led to a Brit scoring.

Here's a memory for you, remember a pitch invasion from the Vic Rd end, and you being about 3 ft taller than anyone else was bang in the middle of it, with a naughty boy smirk! I was about 15-16 at the time, so too many years ago. Met another ex driver on here D. unstable, we were chatting before a game and comments on the WO come up. It's a very small world indeed. I'll come for that pint before Forest and look forward to it!

Agreed the music is a distraction! I was the stocky fella in a grey hooded jumper and black beanie hat ( up today my lucky attire) was holding court with other posters. Travelling Hornet, Mangochutney, Chris Bottom, Jason among others! Sometimes they disagree with me, that explains why they are missing fingers...! They will see it my vay. Would of happily bought you a pint.

The only person I saw wearing a beanie hat was the person I used to work with and we greeted each other with a big hug!

At the back of my mind, I kept looking over and thinking; He can't be Lutondown, although he can look after himself, he doesn't come across as agressive and no one else in the pub come up to scratch. You should of asked! Great to see you mate, and as for the aggressive bit, well, like yourself love the craic, but will back what I say if called upon. I'd much rather talk about what's going on around our club and with like minded people. I remember the other guy, from all those years back. Think he'd just become an inspector. I remember cup game at Gillingham, Alan Mayes scored twice, think we won 3-1. Had a few too many to drink. Anyway after the players and supporters saluted each other, the Gillingham supporters started running towards us. I leapt over the barriers to confront them, police dog on one arm, shouting encouragement to our supporters, I turned round to see them all leaving the ground. LOL and I said i'll never ever drink again. How embarrassing. See you in the club.
