Simon Walker won the Peter Griffiths award at Kings Langley Cricket Club's annual junior awards.

Walker was named as the best junior overall and a highlight of the evening was the celebration of the Under-11s after they won the Hertfordshire title for only the second time.

Charles Holroyd Scholarships were given to Alex Lee, Gabriel Fitzpatrick, Jack Lee, Tom Atkins, Joe Sambidge and Oliver Rose.

The Reg Gray (teamwork) award went to Billy Stephenson while the Paul Tinworth award for most improved colt was given to Jacob Hutchings. George Langston won the Bill Townley award for most promising young cricketer.

In the Under-9s, Marc Burnell was the most improved performer and Ben Templeton was the best bowler. Danni Knights was the best batsman and Alfie Lyons won player of the season.

Alistair Brown was the Under-10s most improved player and Joe O Brien was the star bowler. Oliver Heusen was the pick of the batsmen and Sam Hargrove won player of the year.

Ashwyn Batey was the most improved player in the Under-11s and Joe Atkins was the pick of the bowlers. Samuel Hutchings was recognised for his batting and Liberty Maher was the player of the season.

Jacob Hutchings was the Under-14s most improved player while Toby Hendy was the best bowler. Sam Joyce was the pick of the batsmen and Harry Misselbrook was named player of the season.

Freddie Atkins was the star bowler for the Under-15s and Shandy Ratnakuran won an award for his batting performances. Curtis Reynolds received the player of the year honour.
